      Boundaries: Commonly Asked Questions

      Boundaries - Frequently asked questions from the System Surveyor community.

      • Is Boundaries available on both Web Editor and Tablet apps?
        • Yes, it is available on both System Surveyor Web Editor 2.0 and System Surveyor 2.0 on Tablet app for iOS or Android. It is not backward compatible with our Classic versions.
        • Boundaries can be used on any tablet app version 1.6.1+.  Quick article on how to check your tablet app version.  
      • What types of Elements does Boundaries work for?
        • Boundaries works with any Element icon in System Surveyor that has an Area of Coverage (AOC).  Examples include video surveillance or CCTV cameras, motion detectors, wi-fi access points, projectors etc.  You’ll see the coverage “cone” and be able to draw in lines to show walls or obstructions.
      • What plans have the System Surveyor Boundaries feature?
        • All of our plans include the Boundaries feature including our Starter free account.  
      • Will the Area of Coverage with Boundaries show in the Survey Layout Report?
        • Yes, it will on our new reports on System Surveyor Web Editor 2.0.  It will not in the Classic reports. For more, visit our Help Center.
      • Are Boundaries available on Web Editor 2.0 and Classic?
        • No, Boundaries are only available on Web Editor 2.0.
      • How will Boundaries show in reports?
      • Are Boundaries available on site level reports or classic reports?
        • Boundaries are only available on Web Editor 2.0 and Survey Layout Reports.
      • How do I hide/show Boundaries on my floorplan?
      • Can I draw any shapes other than lines?
        • No, currently only lines are available.  
      • Can I adjust the thickness of Boundaries?
        • Currently users can not adjust the thickness of Boundaries.  
      • How do I create Boundaries on my survey?
