HubSpot Integration

This integration connects the HubSpot CRM with System Surveyor to associate Sites with Company in the CRM.

HubSpot is an all-in-one, cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform designed to help businesses grow by managing marketing, sales, service, and operations. It acts as a central hub to attract visitors, convert leads, close deals, and manage customer relationships using integrated tools, including email, social media, and content management. 

NOTE: The Integration Marketplace is only available on Enterprise, Campus Complete, or Coporate subscriptions.

Configuration:

This integration uses OAuth 2.0 scheme for connecting to HubSpot via a HubSpot application. The following scopes need to be supported by the application used:

  1. crm.objects.contacts.read

  2. crm.objects.contacts.write

  3. crm.objects.deals.read

  4. crm.objects.deals.write

  5. crm.objects.owners.read

  6. crm.objects.custom.read

  7. crm.objects.custom.write

Connection:

  1. Within System Surveyor navigate to Settings > Integration.

  2. Click HubSpot and select 'Configuartion'
  3. A pop-up window will display, click 'Connect'

  4. You will be directed to a new window within HubSpot to select your account and authenticate the connection
  5. Once authorized you will receive a confirmation pop-up
  6. Navigate back to System Surveyor and click 'Next'

Company Schedule:

A schedule needs to be configured for how often the company tagging flow will automatically run. This schedule defaults to every hour.

Company Tagging:

The integration will periodically and automatically tag HubSpot companies that are referenced in System Surveyor in newly created or modified sites.

HubSpot companies are referenced in System Surveyor by setting their HubSpot internal record ID as the System Surveyor site reference ID, which is a field used to correlate sites to external systems.

To associate System Surveyor Sites to the Company level in HubSpot:

  • Copy the Company ID in HubSpot
  • Create a new Site and under 'Reference' paste the Company ID
  • Click 'Create'

The integration will tag the HubSpot company by creating a note containing the site’s URL, which can be used to easily navigate to the site’s page provided that a current user session is present in System Surveyor.

The integration will keep track of a cursor in order to determine newly created or modified sites after each execution. Every time the integration runs it will update its current cursor accordingly.
