Survey Thumbnail Options [Mobile Apps]

Use the Survey Thumbnail options to duplicate Surveys, release edits & more from the Tablet App & Phone App.

First, navigate to the Site Overview screen and tap the "three dots" in the lower-right corner of a Survey thumbnail (accessible from both Tablet App & Phone App).

This will open the Survey Thumbnail options:

Release Edit/Request Edit

This option will enable users to either release or request the edit on a Survey, depending on whether or not they are the current editor.

  • If you are the editor on the Survey, this option will appear as Release Edit - tapping it will allow another user on your Team to claim the edit for that Survey.
  • If you are not the editor on the Survey, this option will appear as Request Edit - tapping it will send an email to the current editor requesting that they release the edit so it can be claimed.

Duplicate

This option will enable users to duplicate the Survey.

  • Tap Duplicate from the Survey Thumbnail options
  • Optionally, rename the duplicate Survey
  • Tap OK
  • You will then see the duplicate Survey appear next to the original
  • Tap Sync to upload the duplicate Survey

Delete

This option will enable users to permanently delete the Survey

  • Tap Delete from the Survey Thumbnail options
  • Confirm by tapping Delete

Send a Link

This option enables users to share the Survey via a read-only link.

  • Tap Send a Link from the Survey Thumbnail options
  • Enter the recipient's email address and an optional message
  • Tap Send

Report Survey

This option will allow users to generate a Survey report to send to System Surveyor Support. Use this in the event that there is an issue with a particular Survey that needs to be investigated by our engineering team.

  • Tap Report Survey from the Survey Thumbnail options
  • This will generate a ZIP file
  • Email that ZIP file to support@systemsurveyor.com with a description of the issue
