Pro-tip: Take Multiple Photos on Site Walks

Take multiple photos to improve handoff between sales & install teams.

Number of photos per element varies based on plan (Essentials = 3, Scale = 5, Enterprise+ = 7)

The ability to associate photos with elements is one of the best things about System Surveyor.  Don't just take one photo - take multiple photos to improve handoff between sales & install teams.

Examples of the photos:

  • The device placement,
  • The ceiling/wall you’re working with,
  • Where the device will be looking from (from camera perspective)
  • # of photos per element varies based on plan (essentials – 3, Scale – 5, Ent. - 7)

Annotate your photos with text or the device icon to make life easier for your techs.

When you hand off to ops or install, all this visual data helps clean up installation – they know more and miss less.

Bonus tip: If capturing photos with an Apple device, configure your camera format settings to Most Compatible to avoid format conflicts with the platform – Changing Photo Format for iPad

Also: defaults to not using device camera (under Account); turn it on for access to Apple camera tools (but then see MB tip on Most Compatible)
